5617 > A lady relative of mine got married and the boy left Pakistan after spending few months with her. Its been 8 months now and the girl has spent most of her time at her parent's house. The girl asked for divorce and the husband agreed on it but he has been delaying signing the divorce documents that were sent to him abroad. 4349 > During a quarrel I asked my husband to divorce me and in anger he said, 'okay I divorce you', without saying the word Talaq the first time. Afterwards, he used the word Talaq which he uttered two times. Me and my husband didn't know that Talaq occurs even without using the word Talaq. Therefore, in our case, would it be considered as two Talaq or three? میرا میرے شوہر سے جھگڑا ہوا تو میں نے طلاق کا مطالبہ کیا کہ مجھے طلاق دیدے۔ میرے شوہر نے غصے میں کہہ دیا کہ ٹھیک ہے دیدی۔ پھر دوبارہ طلاق کا لفظ استعمال کیا اور دو بار کہا ٹھیک ہے میں نے تمہیں طلاق دی۔ تو کیا طلاق ہوگئی؟ مجھے اور میرے شوہر کو پہلی طلاق کا کوئی علم نہیں تھا کہ بغیر طلاق کا لفظ استعمال کئے بھی طلاق ہو جاتی ہے تو کیا ایسی صورت میں تینوں طلاق مانی جائیں گی یا صرف دو طلاق مانی جائے گی۔

They reconciled after two months but during a tribunal hearing he gave her three more Talaq on the spot. After a week later, he gave her one more Talaq, then two months later, he gave her one more Talaq again. After three weeks had passed, he gave her one more Talaq again and took away many things with him, like Mehr etc. Six months later, things were settled down after a second tribunal hearing, due to some fatwa they reconciled and she is back home with his husband. What does Shariah say about this reconciliation after 5 divorces? چچا زاد بھائی نے اپنی بیوی کو کچھ عرصہ پہلے ایک طلاق دی ، پھر کچھ عرصے بعد ایک اسٹامپ پر ایک اور طلاق دے دی۔ پھر ایک ویسے زبان سے بھی دے دی۔ پھر دو ماہ بعد واپس لے آئے اور پھر جرگے میں گئے تو تین طلاقیں اکھٹی دے دیں ، پھر ایک ہفتہ بعد ایک اور طلاق دے دی ، پھر دو مہینے بعد ایک اور طلاق دے دی ، پھر تیسرے ہفتے ایک طلاق اور دے دی۔ پھر چیزیں لے گئے ، مہر وغیرہ ، پھر جرگے میں شمار ہوئے تو معاملہ تہ ہوا اور چھ ماہ بعد کسی سے فتوی لے کر واپس پھر آئے۔ یہ پانچ طلاقوں کے بعد واپسی ہوئی تو ہمیں کیا کرنا چاہیے؟

I live in States, where as per law, wife gets half the share of husband's wealth after a divorce, how would we apply Shariah law here regarding this distribution?
