Question:
Regarding the ruling in Islam on men wearing earrings, I have spoken to multiple scholars and they have all told me that its not permissible for men because its on the basis that it's imitating the culture of Kuffar and is copying women. But I was wondering when one scholar was explaining this to me, he mentioned that just because of the time period you live in, earrings for men are not a prominent style and it is not something men widely do. So, I was wondering that my intention for wanting to wear earrings is because I just like them and I want to wear them for myself when I'm at home during this lockdown period. And I don't want to get my ears pierced or I dont want to get earrings to show anybody or copy any style or purposely imitate women.I just want them for myself. So, my question is based off of my intentions, is it okay to get two silver hoop earrings which are a culture for men in Pakistan? Basically, can I wear small earrings for myself when I'm at home. I'm only 17 years old and I'm going to do this for 2 or 3 months while I'm at home during this lockdown?
