Question:
You mentioned in one of your lectures that the story of Sayyidina Yusuf عليه السّلام where he was taken into streets on a donkey and his face was blackened as punishment is fabricated and has no basis at all. Upon asking another scholar, he said this story is mentioned in Tafāseer of Qurtubi & Razi and is authentic. What do you say about these references?
آپ نے اپنے ایک بیان میں فرمایا ہے کہ سیدنا یوسف علیہ السلام کو سزا کے طور پر گدھے پر بٹھا کر سڑکوں پر پھرانے اور ان کا چہرہ مبارک کالا کرنے والی روایت موضوع ہے اور اس کی کوئی اصل نہیں ہے، جبکہ ہم نے جب ایک عالم سے اس کے بارے میں استفسار کیا تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ یہ روایت قرطبی اور رازی کی تفاسیر میں موجود ہے، آپ اس بارے میں کیا کہتے ہیں؟
